When the Moon and Seasons Came Together

When the Moon and Seasons Came Together

There was one ritual that truly changed the way I approach abundance magic. It was a warm November evening here in South Africa, right in the heart of spring. The jacarandas were in bloom, painting the streets purple, and the air was thick with the promise of summer. That night, the moon was waxing, and I felt called to do something special.

I gathered what I had — a candle, a sprig of fresh rosemary from the garden, and a small jar of coins I had been collecting. Nothing fancy. I sat outside under the night sky and thought about what abundance meant for me at that moment. It wasn’t only about money, though I certainly wanted more stability. It was also about opportunity, freedom, and feeling secure enough to grow.

As the candle flame flickered, I held the rosemary and breathed in its sharp, cleansing scent. I imagined it sweeping away the doubts and fears that had been holding me back. Then, I took the jar of coins and shook it gently, listening to the sound. I whispered my intentions over them, asking the growing moon to amplify them, to let the seeds I was planting this spring take root and flourish.

It felt simple, maybe even too simple. But in the days that followed, I noticed small shifts. An unexpected refund appeared in my account. A project I had nearly given up on suddenly opened a new door. Even conversations seemed to flow differently, with people offering help and ideas at just the right time. It wasn’t a lottery win, but it was real, tangible, and enough to remind me that magic works in partnership with the world.

That night taught me something I now carry into every practice: timing matters. The waxing moon carried the energy of growth, while spring added its power of renewal and fresh beginnings. Together, they created the perfect current to carry my intentions forward.

This is the kind of weaving I explore more deeply in my wealth book — not just moon rituals on their own, not just seasonal practices, but the alchemy that happens when you bring them together. Magic, when rooted in the cycles of the world around us, becomes more than just wishful thinking. It becomes a way of living.

Next time, I’ll write about how to keep that abundance energy flowing during the darker months, when winter seems to quiet everything down. Because abundance doesn’t end when the leaves fall — it simply changes shape.
